The Appearance of Sri Krishna
Over 5,000 years ago, on the eighth day of the dark fortnight of Bhadrapada, Lord Krishna appeared in the prison cell of Kamsa to His devoted parents Vasudeva and Devaki.
Janmashtami is celebrated with fasting, kirtan, and midnight abhishek to remember His transcendental descent to the material world.
